Dear AlgebraCards User,
By now you should have received your copy of AlgebraCards, and hopefully you've already started using them. Nothing works as good as being ahead of the GAME!. Congratulations! I’m thrilled that you’re about to discover the simple and easy access to learning algebraic concepts faster, like thousands of other users are already experiencing. I want to give you just a few useful tips to make sure you get the maximum benefit from your AlgebraCards. First of all, Home work must be done DAILY… this is a must, as exercise is the strengthening factor in taking on any goal. While it’s important to do homework everyday…it's most effective when you stay ahead of the game. (I personally teach my students to take a quick look at the content that is to be discussed following the section homework was done). Why? Because if you have a clue as to the material and the words which will be discussed the day your teacher is presenting the material, you are more interested in listening and filling the gaps you may not have understood in your preview...and ideally, you want to be inquisitive, ask questions….this is where real learning happens! I also suggest you find the CONTENT by using the head titles of the section you are working in, then reaching out to the AlgebraCards' Content page and find the page number to refer to. Each card is podcasted with approx. 3 minutes, but the richness in material and the ease of doing the work is well worth the 5-minutes it takes to complete listening to the podcast, while reading the Cards. Remember to use dry-erase markers to circle and remind yourself of the material which are important. That’s the beauty and the effectiveness of this methodology! What’s really happening here is a multi-sensory process, as you are seeing, hearing and touching while your brain is stimulated, to grow a network of dendrites, which act as channels to all areas of the brain. Once you’ve got your routine down, during your first few weeks listening to the podcasts, doing your homework, followed by a quick look at the next day’s material, Algebra feels so easy and workable:)…something you weren’t even expecting. And as time goes on, you'll start to feel the confidence and the benefits as the material on each card serves in capturing the main points and helping you remember all concepts in the chapter at a FLASH!!! This is an excellent source and a great way to study for the chapter exams. My advice is to separate each section, ie...CARDS for a particular Chapter, using the small ring to have easy transport and ability to flip all the cards for a fast review. With that in mind, I'd like to walk you through the timeline of exactly what benefits you can expect from the Practice with AlgebraCards as the first few weeks progress. Let’s get started… Week 1-2:
Week 2-3: It’s during this time that many users see increased:
You will find that you speak, and ask questions like Why, Where, How, …? When we think of Math, we usually imagine the number system. Algebra takes us beyond that, training the brain to recognize patterns and solving problems…The fact is, what happens in your brain because of the knowledge of patterns and solving problems increases your ability to acquire skills! You thereby:
And again, one of the biggest effects AlgebraCards have on your brain is feeling and improving the belief & trust in yourself.
